How to attract more customers to your bar?

How to attract more customers to your bar?
Common question for many bars' owners, isn't it?
Without customers we will simply run out of business. People are everything for us.
So let's say you opened a new bar, how would you let the world know about yourself?
There are a few things we could think of:
  • Location - if your bar is in the center, in a very popular and busy street then you should be sorted.
  • Value for money - make sure that you place comparing to your neighbors is not too expensive, that you menu doesn't miss key items, like beers and wines, your staff is friendly and professional.
  • Promotion - this is the most important to our opinion item. All depends on how well your bar is promoted. You can hand out flyers on the street inviting people (better to hire some pretty girls for this job). You can advertise on facebook (but tricky since you will be able to share it only with your friends, hopefully you have a lot of them). Make sure you are listed on google places, this way many people will be able to find you via google maps. Register your bar on www.bestbars.in, it is free registration, and your bar will be getting promoted via social media sharing your information with many more people - more potential customers. People will be able to write reviews, make sure you read them and take action in case some mentioned points require attention. Organize events, this way you can attract many people and in case everything went well your place will become more and more popular. Make sure you have some special deals, like three cocktails for the price of two, or happy hours.

At the end of the day, we think that if your bar is distinguish enough, your staff is professional and you really love what you do, doesn't matter where you are, how big you are, there is a way to become successful and super popular.
Let us know if you think we missed some key factors in attracting more customers to your bar, we will be very glad to hear from you!
